Southwark has been selected to receive up to £10 million funding over the next four years from Transport for London (TfL) to help improve bus performance and reliability

Our proposal for bus improvements in Southwark
Through our Better Bus Partnership with Transport for London we will upgrade one of London’s most essential but currently underperforming bus routes.
The work spans the full length of the corridor, from London Bridge to the South Circular, and sets out proposals for improvements to be delivered in phases.
We will develop these proposals in close partnership with TfL and together with the communities who use, live and work along the route.
Our aim is to improve the full journey experience: to support the people who already rely on buses every day, welcome those who do not yet use them, and encourage more trips to shift away from private cars towards cleaner, more space-efficient travel.
All proposals and work will support the delivery of our Streets for People strategy.
