Here are some local highlights: 

- Peckham Rye Park’s Family Fun Day and other community events 

- Nunhead Green’s community garden – a local hub for sustainability and shared space 

- The Nunhead Art Trail – celebrating creativity and attracting 3,000–5,000 visitors annually 

- Community groups such as Nunhead Knocks, Peckham Vision, and The Ivy House bringing people together 

- Over £117,000 spent via Cleaner Greener Safer projects in recent years 

- Local hubs like the Dene Centre, Nunhead Library, and multiple tenants’ associations supporting connection and access 

What’s planned or coming soon? 

Some community-backed ideas and future priorities include: 

- Upgrading the playground in Peckham Rye Park 

- Refurbishing the historic Anglican Chapel in Nunhead Cemetery 

- Community gardening and anti-flytipping projects on Astbury Road and York Grove 

- Expansion of the Kings Grove Community Garden 

- Exploring development opportunities for new housing and green infrastructure
