SELCHP Extension Works - Area 1
Area Works
The district heating network Area 1 route is presented below:

Works will be carried out over two main sections:
- Nodes N017 to N019: district heating pipework through the Brimmington Park
- Nodes N019 to N032: district heating pipework from Clifton Crescent to Naylor Road
In this phase works will be carried out in the Brimmington boiler house to receive heat from the network.
Brimmington Park works
Works will take place across the Brimmington Park area and will involve digging trenches and laying new district heating pipework. Some areas within the park and some entrances will be temporarily affected during the works.
We understand that the park is an essential hub for residents and park users and we aim to keep disruptions to a minimum while the works take place. The entrances and facilities affected are summarised below:

Works are expected to start on 18 May 2026 and finish by 20 of July 2026.
Entrance and facilities affected
- All entrances to the park will remain open.
- The east-west footpath across the park will be interrupted where it crosses the Work area. The alternative will be to walk along Clifton Crescent or Culmore Road.
- The playground area will remain open.
Please note, if you prefer to use an alternative green space at this time, the nearest alternative park is Bird in Bush Park (135 Bird in Bush Road, London, SE15 1QP).
