Oakley Place and Nile Terrace no through-road proposals

Local residents have complained that Oakley Place and Nile Terrace are used as a cut-through by traffic passing between Trafalgar Avenue and Old Kent Road.

These are residential streets with a park and playground, and would be safer if closed to traffic. Therefore we are looking at plans to make this a no through-road.

The design will include:

• build-outs at the junction with Old Kent Road
• No left/right turn signage at the OKR junction
• Camera enforced no-access from the Old Kent Road
• No through-road sign at the Trafalgar Avenue junction
