Your neighbourhood, your say
Our 2030 vision sets out 6 ambitions that are the foundation of a good life in Southwark:
- decent homes for all
- a good start in life
- safer Southwark
- a strong and fair economy
- healthy environment
- staying well
Southwark is a diverse borough. Although the foundations of a good life are the same across the borough, different areas have their own character, strengths and challenges. We’re now working in recognition of these differences, and it's called our neighbourhoods model.
What is a community plan?
To start this new approach, we are working with local people to create a community plan for each neighbourhood. These plans will guide how the we support and invest in your area, now and in the future.
Each plan sets out:
- what is important to local people
- what needs improving
- what support and services the area needs
- where future funding should go
Plans will continue to evolve as your neighbourhood does, based on your feedback.
Have your say on the new community plans
You can help shape these plans by:
- sharing your views and priorities
- attending local events
- talking to your neighbourhood champion
- telling us what matters online
