Merrow Street - Streets for People Scheme

Merrow Street is part of the Walworth Streetspace Project - now, we are looking at the section of the road that is filtered with planters, and seeking your views on a proposed permanent design.

Our proposals include:

• Widening pavements to shorten crossing distances
• Crossing points on all four arms of the junction
• Changing priority from Merrow Street to Lytham Street, to slow vehicles down and draw drivers' attention to the restriction on Merrow Street
• Extra cycle parking
