Little Dorrit Park Consultation

We're making improvements to Little Dorrit Park, a small park located just off Borough High Street. The playground is not fenced off from the rest of the park, and according to the bylaws, adults without children and dogs are prohibited from it. The proposal is to fence off the playground so that everyone is welcome in the park. Play equipment will be improved along with other improvements to the park and the Peace Garden next to Little Dorrit Park.

We have funding at present for the play area development but we want to improve the whole park as shown in the latest design, we have applied for extra funding and are expecting to hear the decision in the spring. 

What are we proposing?:

The design for Little Dorrit Park has been updated using feedback from the public consultations.

You can also join us in the park on Wednesday 30 April, any time between 1pm and 6pm, where we will be happy to answer your questions.

 The latest design includes:

• Fencing off the play area so everyone is welcome in the park.
• Improving play equipment including new play equipment that is suitable for children with disabilities.
• Creating a pleasant seating area in the theme of a Victorian Garden which links to local history; did you know that the park is named after a character in a book by Charles Dickens?
• Improving sightlines and safety around the park by removing the wall on the boundary with Disney Place, as recommended by the Metropolitan Police.
• Improving the Peace Garden.
