Southwark's Gambling Policy 2025-2028 consultation
The London Borough of Southwark is required to review and update its Gambling Policy every three years, as part of the Gambling Act 2005. Our current policy is set to be renewed in March 2025.
While we don’t plan to make any changes, we will be updating some small details related to Southwark in section 2 of the current 2022-25 policy.
The changes are as follows:
- page 8 - para 2 - reference to 'eight' has been removed.
- page 10 - para 13 - 'Multi-ward forums areas' has been removed.
- page 11- para 15 - updated with reference to Southwark's' 2030 strategy.
Although no changes are proposed, we still need to consult the community about the policy renewal.
The consultation period will run from 30th December 2024 to 26th January 2025, during which everyone is welcome to share their thoughts. You can find the draft policy now available to view below.
We will be hosting two open sessions at the council offices on the dates listed below. Feel free to join us if you would like to talk about the policy and ask any questions you might have.

This phase of the consultation is for information only, we are only proposing to update some small details related to Southwark, in section 2 of the policy. We still need to consult the community about the policy renewal and will be hosting two open sessions at the council offices.
