Feedback and Updates

Feedback and Updates

18 December 2025 - No end date

Update following initial consultation

Thank you to those who took part in the initial consultation. Overall, 39 people completed the survey which is greatly appreciated. The feedback gathered will be carefully reviewed and will help to inform the next stage of the project, including the design.

We really value all feedback. While it may not be possible to implement every suggestion, your feedback will help shape the playground.

Common Request

1.    Variety of Play Equipment

  • The Playground lacks variety and needs more exciting equipment to keep young people engaged. Suggestions included equipment for younger and older children.

2.    Shade

  • During the Summer months, the playground is exposed to direct sunlight, which makes it difficult for families to stay in the playground for long. Adding more trees around the playground could help fix this issue.

3.    Design of the playground

  • The playground is small and does not have a lot of space for families to play and sit. Suggestions included grouping swings together to allow children of all ages to play in the same area.

4.    Inclusive and Accessible Equipment

  • Introduce play equipment that is accessible and usable by children of all abilities, promoting inclusivity. Examples included a trampoline and see saw.

5.    General Park

  • Some respondents expressed concerns about anti-social behaviour. The Parks team are working with stakeholders to ensure that this behaviour is managed effectively.

What’s Next

We will use the information gathered to help us prepare a proposal for various play contractors. They will then provide design options for the refurbished playground. We hope to have more information on this in early 2026 and will share updates here as soon as they are available.
