Playground Design Update

We have now received a design from our suppliers based on the feedback from the first consultation.

What’s improved

1. Challenging equipment for younger children

There will be better equipment for younger children, including climbing areas, slides, and spaces for imaginative play.

2. Variety of play equipment

A wider range of equipment has been added so children can play in different ways:

  • Springers
  • Swings and a roundabout for active and social play

3. Improved access to the sandpit

Steps have been added to make it easier for children to get in and out of the sandpit.

4. Themed playground

The playground will have a theme, with connected equipment that encourages climbing, sliding, and interactive play.

5. Inclusive and accessible design

The playground is designed so all children can use it:

  • Equipment that is easier to access
  • Features that support different needs
  • Sensory and musical play to help children explore and learn
