Feedback and Updates

11 December 2025 00:00 - 8 June 2026 22:59

Update following initial consultation

Thank you to those who took part in the initial consultation, overall, 51 people answered the survey which is greatly appreciated. The feedback gathered will be carefully reviewed and will help to inform the next stage of the project including the design.

We really value all feedback, and while it may not be possible to implement every suggestion, your feedback will help shape the playground.

Common Requests

1.    Challenging Equipment for Younger Children

  • Install a climbing frame and slide designed for children under 5 to encourage physical development and build confidence.

2.    Variety of Play Equipment

  • Add cradle swings and roundabout suitable for younger children to provide more play opportunities for under 5s.

3.    Improved Access to Sandpit

  • The sandpit is a popular feature, but access to the area can be difficult for adults. Redesigning the entry and exit points to ensure adults can help younger children.

4.    Themed Playground

  • Themed playground equipment to stimulate imagination, creativity and role-play opportunities.

5.    Inclusive and Accessible Equipment

  • Introduce play equipment that is accessible and usable by children of all abilities, promoting inclusivity.

6.    Maintenance of Planting

  • The planting surrounding the playground makes the playground less visible from the outside and could be reduced to help families feel safer.

What’s Next

We will use the information gathered to help us prepare a proposal for various play contractors. They will then provide design options for the refurbished playground. We hope to have more information on this in 2026 and will share updates here as soon as they are available.
