Brimmington Park Sports Facility Redevelopment
Brimmington Park Upgrade
Brimmington Park is an important social, transit and sporting space for the local community. Southwark Council is investing in the park to improve walking/cycling routes, sporting provision, increase biodiversity and creating space for new activities.
Previous public consultations held in 2019 and 2020 helped shape our initial concepts. However, the project faced delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic and concerns about the ongoing costs. Following a review of the project in 2025, we have revised the scope. The new design prioritises affordable, deliverable improvements that can be paid for using council capital and Section 106 funding from the recently completed Aldi development.
Previous consultations on this project have helped shape the design of this project and the results can be requested at leisureprojects@southwark.gov.uk.
