Bricklayers Arms gyratory
Southwark Council wish to carry out a feasibility study to assess the development potential of land allocated as OKR1 in the emerging Old Kent Road area action plan (AAP). Building on existing master planning work, the study will help shape emerging place-making principles and assess development capacity. We will be exploring the potential to reconfigure and improve the transport network, create more land for housing and repair a historic stretch of high streets to stitch the site back into its surrounding neighbourhoods, focussing on creating high quality public realm, improving accessibility and movement and green space.
The first stage is to gather ideas and understand the issues and desires for the site and surrounding area. This will help to gauge the overall ambition for the area that will align with the needs and desires of residents, businesses and visitors.

• St Saviours and St Olaves School.
• Local Businesses immediately surrounding the area.
We are keen to learn and;
• To understand needs and desires of the local residents and users.

• To understand the current problems, issues and any benefits of the area (opportunities and constraints).
• To learn about their views on the unique site characteristics.
