Major scale commercial event application - Boiler Room, Jazz Café, Maiden Voyage and additional shows 2025
The council has received an application from an event promoter (Elixar Events Ltd) who is requesting to hold a major-scale event in Burgess Park in August 2025.
In accordance with the council's Outdoor Events Policy, the council's Events team is consulting with stakeholders so that they have an opportunity to comment on the application and event proposals that have been put forward.
All responses to the consultation will be recorded and a ‘consultation findings’ report will be published once feedback has been reviewed. The review process involves collating feedback from a number of council teams and external agencies - the aim will be to publish the report as soon as possible after the consultation has closed and no later than the end of March. The report will be published on this site.
While individual responses may be referenced in the report, anything that might personally identify a respondent will be removed or redacted.
It is the intention to circulate details of this consultation broadly in order to hear the views and opinions of as many people as possible; please pass on this information to anyone you think might be interested in taking part.
Please make sure you read the supporting documents for full details about this consultation before completing the survey.
The event operators will be facilitating a community engagement meeting on Wednesday 5 February. This meeting will enable people to learn more about plans for the event directly from the event operators. The meeting will be held at a venue local to the park. If you would like to attend the meeting, please contact: burgessparkevents@columbostar.com
