Help us to name the new block at 66 Linden Grove
We’re building new homes on 66 Linden Grove as part of our commitment to providing more quality council homes across the borough.
We’re building 27 new homes on Linden Grove, made up of 20 flats in the new four storey building, and seven terraced houses along Limes Walk courtyard. We are also building a new garden room in the allotment area and improving the courtyard. This development will enhance the estate for all residents as well as provide new homes for people in housing need.

Although construction is ongoing, we need to select the names for the buildings now to secure postal addresses ahead of completion.
We would like the local residents living close to the development to help decide the naming of the new block on 66 Linden Grove.

This survey is for the residents who live in Limes Walk and around Linden Grove .
Although construction is ongoing, we need to select the names for the buildings now to secure postal addresses ahead of completion.
The new houses in the development will continue the existing numbering on Limes Walk, however, there are two options for naming the block of flats within the development.
Option 1. Give the new block of flats a new name – the flats will have numbers for each flat within it (e.g., Flat 1, New block name etc)
Option 2. Name the block ‘66 Linden Grove’ (the same as the previous building) and the flats will each be numbered (e.g., Flat 1, 66 Linden Grove, Flat 2, 66 Linden Grove etc).
If you vote for option 1, we have a shortlist of possible block names which have been suggested by residents and staff within the borough and the council would like residents to vote on their preference.
In looking for names for places in Southwark we have a number of considerations, including:
• that there is a strong connection to Southwark or South East London
• representative of our diverse community, in line with the principles of Southwark Stands Together, but also recognising that women have historically been under-represented
• the positive impact of the named individual
• that the person is no longer alive
