Aylesbury Estate - Parking Survey

Due to the transformation of the Aylesbury Estate, where new roads have been created, we are consulting on a proposed new controlled parking zone (CPZ).

We also want to know your thoughts about what street improvements you would like to see in your area.

We are also speaking with local businesses about how we can support them, and how we can encourage people to spend more time in the area.

With the new development, there will be more homes than available parking spaces on the kerbside, so the council is consulting on a CPZ permit scheme to manage parking and improve safety and access on the road network through the estate. The council and the developer will be putting in measures to encourage more sustainable transport, such as cycle hangars, car club bays and EV charging bays.

We are consulting you on a detailed design that shows what the CPZ could look like, including the location and types of bays being proposed. Detailed designs can be viewed in the documents below.

At this stage we would like to know if you would like a CPZ permit scheme in the area, and if so what days and hours you would like it to operate. For example, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6.30pm, or longer restrictions such as Monday to Sunday, 8am to 10pm. You can also select shorter restrictions should you wish to.

Nearby CPZ permit schemes operate Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.30pm (zones M2, EC and J). If similar parking times to neighbouring CPZs are implemented for the proposed zone, this may help prevent vehicles from other CPZs parking in your zone.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your views.
