C 8 months ago Canada Water station is one of most highly frequented stations in all of London. There will be significantly more traffic once the development attracts residents and commuters who will work here.It seems strange that the next post boxes are in Timber Pond Row, at the junction of Lower Road and Surrey Quays Road, and the far end of Tesco but not at the place where many more people pass through every day, namely Canada Water station.While physical mail has become less important, it is still necessary for some matters, and we should make post boxes easily available (considering not only but especially vulnerable people).

C 11 months ago Although Canada Water is the most central and most frequented station of the peninsula, it lacks a post box. It's ridiculous that there is a post box at Lower Road, on Timber Pond Road, and close to Rotherhithe and Surrey Quays stations but not at Canada Water. Please correct this obvious mistake -- it will reduce make many peoples lives easier, especially also of more vulnerable and of less mobile people. Thereby, it will also reduce the number of car journeys because it will be easier to post something on the way to or from the station. Ideally, the council would ensure that the new development also brings a post office into the area.

C 11 months ago Many people walk via Quebec Way to the Russia Dock Woodlands and Greenland Dock. These people will reach Salter Road at the Nisa and have to cross the street to reach the walk way on the other side: The traffic at this juncture is erratic and aggressive -- the roundabout next to this spot makes the traffic less predictable and many cars come accelerate quickly coming out of the roundabout or decelerate only right before the roundabout. Therefore, we should have * Zebra crossings between the Nisa and the Russia Dock Woodlands that always give way to pedestrians, * speed bumps which slow down traffic on either side of the crossing.
