Too many stops

I think that we have too many stops on certain routes, including the route from Denmark Hill/East Dulwich up to E and C.
Why not a small number of stops, espeically those near to traffic lights?
Speed has definitely improved; Walworth Road used to be a logjam pre-Covid.
