Revive the Cross City Tram route

Adding more bus stops and adding more frequency to the bus lines is only going to result in more bus congestion and bus conga lines.

In other cities in Europe and around the world, when a transit corridor gets too congested with vehicles, they upgrade the route to a higher form of transit, not dump more buses.

It's high time that Southwark Council revives the Cross-City Tram proposal. Trams can be quick and nimble, and modern trams have high capacity and low-floor trams mean more spaces for disabled people and people with prams.
