Questions About the Revised Brandon Library and Youth Centre Refurbishment Plans

Thank you for the update and for setting out the revised plans.

As a member of the major works board I would like the council to please clarify a few points:

• What are the original and revised budgets, scope and expected completion dates?
• What would relocating the utilities have cost, and how much delay would it have caused?
• What alternatives were considered before cancelling the extension?
• Who approved the change, and will the decision record be published?
• Why were the utilities not identified earlier?
• How will the revised design affect capacity, seating and available space?
• How will quiet study, confidential conversations and sensory needs be supported without the quiet room?
• Does the revised scheme require amended planning permission?
• Has an updated equality impact assessment been completed?
• When will the confirmed completion and reopening date be announced?
