Old James is an excellent location for a bike hangar, just off Nunhead Lane. For those who live on Old James street, a bike hangar here would save crossing Nunhead Lane to the otherwise-closest hangar, both to go drop off/retrieve a bike, and to cycle down to Peckham Rye and to the city. Nunhead Lane does not have a safe crossing point even for the children attending Rye Oak Primary School and has to employ a crossing guard for this purpose.

There are no homes on the western side of this street at this location so it would not obstruct any homes either.

This would be a great spot for a bike hanger! I live in the area and would love to have a nearby spot to lock up that is more convenient than some of the other lockers And I also agree that this might also encourage some additional road safety measures at this intersection which is always quite busy with children and families walking through.
