This junction does not work for cars or for pedestrians.
It's tricky to cross East Dulwich Grove safely and I'd avoid trying to cross it if with small children or somebody inform - you are basically relying on kind drivers coming in at several directions stopping to let you get over, or you run - it is quite a busy main junction.
When driving the weird location of the half box just after lights can leave you stranded in the middle if you are unlucky with pedestrians trying to cross, lights changing and buses turning at the same time - which then just adds to the traffic there
