Cycle lane often blocked by buses and other vehicles

From "Better Bus Southwark Section 1 - London Bridge to Elephant and Castle"

Go to the project

The junction at the end of London Road has a painted-on cycle lane which filters between lanes of traffic. When there's a bus at Bus Stop E (which is frequent, given it serves 10 different routes), left-turning vehicles go round the bus and then have to cross the cycle lane to get to their left-turn lane. Given how close this is to the traffic lights, this means there's often a vehicle blocking the cycle lane while waiting at a red light.

A lot of great work has happened to improve the cycle infrastructure in and around Elephant & Castle. So I'm always surprised that this particular part has been left so dangerous.
