Buses towards Blackfriars use a different bus stop between day and night
From "Better Bus Southwark Section 1 - London Bridge to Elephant and Castle"
Go to the project
There are two different bus routes which travel up Walworth Road heading towards Southwark and Blackfriars stations. These are the 40 during the day, and N89 at night. When they stop at Elephant & Castle station, they both stop at different (but neighbouring) bus stops. The 40 uses stop T and the N89 uses stop V. This inconsistency makes it tricky for people who live in that direction to remember which is right bus stop, keeping us more reliant on apps, to double check on every journey.
They do converge at the same bus stop on London Road (stop A), which they share with the 63/N63 coming from New Kent Road, which also heads in the same direction. But I'd love to see the 40 and N89 use the same stop at Elephant & Castle station too.
