37 - very inaccurate timings

I have used this bus stop for 26 years. Why does it always take so long for a 37 bus to arrive? It only has to come from Peckham bus garage, yet it is quite normal to have to wait at leat 30 minutes.
Example; 7th March, early Saturday evening. TfL app shows 37 arriving in 2,3,8,8,9,15 and 23 minutes. We still ended up waiting over a half an hour for the 1st to arrive. How? Why?

The 37 always just takes forever due to there being so much traffic. It needs another bus route to help support it (especially between Peckham and Brixton)
