People Power Innovation Fund

We’re excited to announce the launch of the People Power Innovation Fund, a dedicated pot of funding designed to support and accelerate ideas to improve services we deliver, through engaging with our residents and service users.

Staff will have the opportunity to submit their ideas for improvement, and if successful receive funding and end-to-end project delivery and management support to turn their idea into a reality. 

Who can apply? 

Every Southwark Council employee with an idea on how we can innovate service delivery is encouraged to apply, regardless of grade or occupation. We believe innovation comes from all levels of the organisation, and we are especially interested in capturing ideas from frontline colleagues. 

How it works: 

• Submit your idea: Share your idea by filling out a short expression your idea form.  

• Support: You will receive mentoring to support you in developing your idea further, and in writing your full application

• Apply: Complete the full application form and your proposal will be voted on by staff across the organisation, and will go through a selection process by a grant panel of six staff drawn from different parts of the organisation.

• Funding and support: Projects that are selected by the panel will receive funding to help bring the idea to life.
